Frequently asked questions

What is NCPWD Career Portal?

NCPWD Career Portal is a digital platform created to support Persons With Disabilities in their efforts to grow their careers by providing them with opportunities to gain relevant skills and find suitable jobs in industries/roles that they are interested in. The project is being coordinated by the Innovation-to-Inclusion (i2i) programme. The platform is powered by technology from Fuzu, East Africa’s fastest-growing career development platform, which will help match individuals with learning modules, jobs and blog content that is tailored to their needs. Aside from NCPWD, i2i and Fuzu, a number of prestigious organizations have mobilized resources and personnel to help make this platform a reality.

Are there any requirements for signing up to this portal as a user?

The goal of the portal is to provide equal career development opportunities to Persons with Disabilities. The ONLY requirement to sign up for the program is to have an NCPWD-provided disability card. This has been made mandatory to avoid people with no disability to abuse the platform.

How do I sign up to the portal as an employer?

Send us email to ncpwd@fuzu.com. We will then contact you, help you to create an account and start posting employment opportunities to the program participants.

How is this portal different from those launched in the past by NCPWD or other organizations?

Similar job portal in the past have had one sole focus - advertising jobs, and have been launched independently by a single agency/organization. This portal is different! We have been extremely mindful to not limit the potential of this platform to just a job portal. It will include special courses for people with disabilities to upskill themselves, and tailor-made blog content & thought leadership to drive value beyond that provided by traditional portal. To develop this platform, the top minds from Government, NGOs and the Private sector were brought together to pool in resources and brainpower. We spent more than half a year developing this platform to make sure it is up to the standards that people expect from any leading organization.
